Zia's Smashed Petal Paper

|
Materials:
- Variety of papers, white, ivory or any other pastel paper
(90# watercolor paper works well)
- Flowers and leaves
- Wax paper
- Hammer or rubber mallet
|
 |
Process:
This is so easy
place some flowers and leaves on some paper,
cover them with wax paper and smash them! (OK, so you want more
formal directions, so that your friends who will marvel at the
awesome paper you've created will feel like you actually followed
complicated directions to get the process just right?!) Try these
|
 |
1) Find a surface that can withstand
the might of your hammer.
2) Arrange your petals and leaves in a pleasing display
of nature's bounty.
3) Cover a selected area (2-4") with wax paper.
4) Carefully aim your hammer at the most juicy petal or
leaf under the waxed paper.
|
 |
5) Smash it.
6) Smash all other areas under the paper to make sure
you've gotten all of nature's nectar onto your paper surface. |
 |
7) Lift and peel off and extra floral debris and discard
(throw away)
8) Repeat wax paper covering and hammer smashing until
all areas have been addressed. |
 |
| 9) Don't you feel better now? |
