Materials:
Stamp Zia's Large Koi and Zia Words:
koi, water and color
- Zia's Color Wash Jewels - Emerald, Blue Topaz
and Tanzanite
- 8"x5" water color paper and glossy
black cardstock
- silk or plastic foliage for masking
- Gelly Roll® Glaze pens
- Zia's specialty fibers
- Glossy Accents Dimensional Embellishment

- Document black ink pad
- bleach and small paint brush
- Glitter
- Heat gun
Technique:
1. Use the water color technique of masking
areas of water
color paper with paper towels and spritzing blue topaz, tanzanite,
and emerald water colors. Dry with heat gun. Spritz again, this
time masking with the silk or plastic foliage (ferns, bamboo
stems, etc.)
2. Dry with heat gun. Tear into smaller pieces,
some long and some more rounded.
3. Overlap about 12 rounded pieces together
randomly and tape them together from behind.
4. Stamp large koi with document ink on front
of taped pieces. Stamp word stamps around large koi image at
random. Use small brush dipped in bleach and remove water color
from fish. Dry with heat gun.
5. Color koi with glaze gel pens. Use Glossy
Accents
dimensional embellishment to cover the koi image entirely. It
may take two coats. Let dry thoroughly. Add glitter to torn edges.
6. Adhere koi collaged piece to center of
8"x5" black glossy cardstock. Adhere long torn pieces
of water color paper around the koi.
7. Embellish with glitter and Zia's colored
fibers.
