Zia Stamps:
Zia's DAY Paisley and
Wide Butterfly
Materials:
Watercolor paper 140#
for Butterfly
Zia's Fiber Paper for Paisley background
Black card stock for mounting 5 x 7"
Strip of denim colored paper and thin strip of black paper for
horizontal band
Document ink
"M" Series - Moss and Magic, UCWJ's - Fire Opal and
Amethyst
Colored markers and pencils
Scissors
Paper adhesive
Heat gun
Technique:
1) Spray Moss, Magic,
Fire Opal and Amethyst onto fiber paper - throw some water on
top and dry with heat gun.
2) Stamp DAY Paisley
in Document ink onto painted fiber paper - dry with heat gun.
3) Stamp Butterfly in Document ink onto watercolor paper - dry
with heat gun.
4) Spray Butterfly with Moss - dry with heat gun. Color image
areas with variety of colored markers to "match" Paisley
background using a small paint brush and water to pull and bleed
the marker colors. Highlight other areas with colored pencils
to further coordinate. Cut Butterfly out with scissors.
5) Highlight Paisley background
areas with colored pencils to further coordinate with Butterfly.
6) Arrange horizontal color strips and Butterfly on Paisley background
and glue down.
7) Mount on black card stock.
8) Sign your art creation!
