Zia Stamps:
NEW Winged Bug and Zialligraphy
Materials:
Zia's HOT Jewels
Cardstock cut into 2" x 4"
Water color paper #140 -5 x 9"
Black card stock - 5-1/2" x 9-1/2"
Variety of scraps of watercolored paper
Colored pencils - white, pink, blue and yellow
Black ballpoint pen
Permanent black ink - Document Ink or India Ink
Paper adhesive
Heat gun
Technique:
1) Pour about 1/2 a teaspoon of one of the HOT Jewels onto a
non-porous surface (glass table top or smooth counter surface
both work well). Press your watercolor paper into the paint.
Pick up the paper and place it down again into a second color,
making sure the color is "printed" partially over the
first color ( turn your paper in a different direction in order
to allow other colors to layer over the previous colors). Repeat
this step with the remaining colors until the entire surface
is covered with COLOR! Dry surface with heat gun.
2) Lay your rectangular cardstock as positioned in the sample
above and trace around it with a black ballpoint pen.
3) Stamp the Winged Bug in permanent ink as positioned above
and dry with heat gun.
4) Color the Winged Bug with pink and yellow accents, filling
in with a white colored pencil. Highlight the inside edge of
rectangle with a blue colored pencil.
5) Stamp Zialligraphy on a couple strips of "scap"
watercolored paper and then position two pieces horizontally.
Cut a small rectangle accent piece to go above the bug image.
6)Adhere all pieces onto the background and mount onto black
cardstock.
