Zia Stamps:
Large Cattail, Small Dragonfly, Small Day and Night
Leaf Pairs, Cattail word stamp
Materials:
Acrylic paints - metallic pale blue, pale violet and silver
Black cardstock 4 pieces - 4 x 6"
Black pigment ink and Zia's Black Sparkle Embossing Powder
Silver embossing powder
Black triptych mat 20 x 10" - openings 3 - 3/4" x 5
- 3/4"
Paper towels and a paper plate
Scissors
Paper adhesive
Heat gun
Technique:
1) Pour about a tablespoon of silver paint on the paper plate
and apply paint using a wadded up paper towel to all 4 pieces
of black cardstock, covering about 2/3rds of the black paper
surface. Do the same with the pale blue and pale violet paints
making sure to let a little of the black paper surface show through.
Do NOT cover entire surface! Dry paper surfaces thoroughly with
a heat gun.
2) On one of the painted pieces of paper, stamp dragonfly in
black pigment ink and emboss with Zia's Black Sparkle Embossing
Powder. Cut out and set aside. Cut 2 - 1" squares out of
painted paper scrap. Set aside.
3) On the other 3 painted paper pieces, stamp in black pigment
ink and emboss with Zia's Black Sparkle Embossing Powder both
the small Day and Night Leaf Pairs and the Cattail.
4) Stamp small Day Leaf Pair in black pigment ink and emboss
with silver embossing powder on mat surface in positions shown
above. Stamp Cattail word in black pigment ink and emboss with
silver embossing powder below middle mat opening.
5) Adhere painted stamped pieces to the back of each mat opening.
Attach dragonfly and squares positioned as shown.
