Zia's Custom Palette of Twinkling H2O's
heat gun, watercolor brush (round #6) and water container
Technique:
Pre moisten your Twinkling H2O's with a couple drops of water
or mist the paint surfaces with water.
1) Stamp the Flamingo on watercolor paper with Document ink and
dry with heat gun to set ink.
2) Apply Zia Resist to the paper surface by gently squeezing
bottle and scribbling! Dry thoroughly.
3) Paint with clear water the entire inside of the Flamingo.
Drop colors (Passion, Ginger Peach and Ruby Red) into the wet
image and let them run together. Dry with heat gun.
4) Paint with water the right half of the card's background and
drop in Blue Grass - pull paint with brush towards the right
side of the paper's edge. Repeat this technique on the left side
of the card. Dry with heat gun.
5) Paint China Black in between Flamingo legs and in other areas
to add that necessary darker value. Dry with heat gun.
6) Remove Zia Resist by gently rubbing it off with your finger.
7) Stamp the Palm Fronds around the card 's edge in Document
ink.
8) Sign your art card!
