Stamps: Zia's Heron NIGHT - Left Stamp Document Ink Black Sharpie Fine Line Marker Zia's Watercolor Paper 140# Zia's Custom Palette of Twinkling H2O's heat gun, watercolor brush (round #6) and water container Technique: Pre moisten your Twinkling H2O's with a couple drops of water or mist the color surfaces with water. 1) Ink the Heron stamp with document ink, but make sure NOT to ink it totally or solid! This is the reason this card works...it's more interesting having some of the image uninked. Try inking and stamping the image a couple of times on scrap paper till you get the hang of it. I try to have all the outside edges inked but some of the inside areas uninked. Stamp the Heron on watercolor paper and dry with heat gun to set ink. 2) Outline the heron with the fine line black Sharpie marker. Draw an eye on the Heron! 3) Paint a small section of the Heron's outside edge with clear water. Drop into the wet section just one color. Continue in a clockwise fashion all around the outside of the image, wetting then dropping a different "rainbow" color until you have completely gone around the Heron. The trick is to work fast enough so the next color blends with the last color you dropped into the wetted section. Dry with heat gun. 4) Draw "grass" like lines and a couple of horizontal landscape lines with the marker to complete this fun Zia-styled art card! 5) Sign your card!
