Egret, Elm Arch and Large Night Fern stamp
- 16 x 20" black mat with rectangular
opening and chipboard backing
- Art Papers - Awesome Art Paper - Fernmania
for mat opening, white cardstock, purple-foiled paper, background
paper (gray/white) 6x8" piece
- Black pigment ink and Zia's Black Sparkle
embossing powder
- White pigment ink, purple, verdigris
and silver embossing powders
- Chalk palette, colored pencils
- Heat gun, adhesive, scissors, X-acto
knife

The Mat- |

1. |
Stamp the mat surface with Large Feather
in white pigment ink and emboss feathers with combinations of
silver, purple and verdigris powders. The white pigment ink creates
a luminous under color for the embossing powders. |

2. |
Use your finger to apply purple chalk to shade various areas
of the black mat surface. |

The Mat Opening- |
|
1. |
Stamp the Egret on white cardstock in black pigment ink and emboss
with Zia's black powder. Color the Egret with blue and purple
colored pencils. Cut out image. Using an X-acto knife, cut out
the open area to the left of the Egret and back with purple-foiled
paper. |

Stamp the Elm Arch on white cardstock in black pigment ink and
emboss with Zia's black powder. Color the elm leaves with blue
and purple colored pencils. Cut out image. |

3. |
Stamp the Large Night Fern on a sheet of Fernmania Awesome Art
Paper in black pigment ink and emboss in Zia's black powder.
Tear 3 fern-stamped sections to collage your mat opening with. |

Cover the mat opening with the gray/white background paper. Add
torn sections of Night Fern paper and center, toward the top
of the opening, the Egret under the Elm Arch. Glue pieces down. |
