The Mat- |
|
1. |
Stamp the mat surface randomly with Bamboo
Stalks in gold pigment ink and emboss with gold powder. |
|
The Fan - |
|
1. |
Stamp the Bamboo Stalks on 12x12"sheet of red art paper
(I used handmade paper by Peggy Skycraft). Using a compass draw
a circle that will fit inside your mat fan opening. Divide the
circle into "wedges" or fan fronds with a pencil and
ruler and then cut . |
|
2 . |
Stamp the Lotus Fan onto red cardstock in black pigment ink and
emboss with black powder. Color fan image with colored pencils.
Cut out fan image. |
|
3. |
Coat a colored "photo" with clear ink and cover with
UTEE. Melt UTEE with heat gun. Repeat this step to build up 2-3
layers of UTEE on the "photo". |
|
The Look - |
|
1. |
Cover the mat opening with white/gold marbled art paper. |
|
2. |
Arrange cut-out fan fronds in mat opening and glue down to background
paper. |
|
3. |
Cover fan "points" with cut-out Lotus Fan image and
glue down. |
|
4. |
Use a hot glue gun to adhere the twig, the photo and the Maple
leaves |
|
5. |
I also added some smaller wedge-like pieces of an Oriental photo
to some of the fan fronds. |
