The Mat- |
|
1. |
Trace the mat opening onto a piece of white
glossy cardstock and cut out the traced circle. |
|
2. |
On the back of the glossy paper divide
up mat into "puzzle" sections using a ruler and a pencil.
Do not cut more than 15 pieces, it gets too confusing! Make sure
to number each puzzle piece. This will help you put the mat pieces
back together when you need to. |
|
3. |
Cut apart your puzzle pieces. Lay each
piece, glossy side-up, on a piece of scrap paper. Don't worry
about the "order" of the pieces, it's more interesting
if you mix them up! |
|
4. |
Apply dabs of metallic inks to the surface
of a glossy paper piece. Apply re-inker color over the metallic
ink dabs and rub in a circular motion with a cotton square. Add
a second color of re-inker and rub. Do this to each of your glossy
puzzle pieces. |
|
5. |
Arrange your pieces back on top of the
mat board surface, fitting your "puzzle" together.
Start in one corner and carefully trim a 1/8th inch from each
side of the selected corner puzzle piece. Continue trimming each
piece until all pieces are trimmed. Fit them together on the
mat surface with spaces in-between each puzzle piece. |
|
6. |
Glue each piece to the mat surface. |
|
The Images- |
|
1. |
Stamp one Nautilus and five Hibiscus images on a sheet of white
cardstock using black document dye ink. |
|
2 . |
Scribble on the images using metallic colored pencils, covering
60-75% of image. Rub the black ink over the stamped images. The
ink will fill in where the colored pencil marks aren't. Cut each
image out. |
|

|
