The Mat- |
|
1. |
Using a foam brush, cover 50 % of the mat
surface with turquoise, 25% with magenta and 25% with gold acrylic
paint. Don't worry about totally covering the mat surface, let
some of the black mat color show through the paint. I use my
fingers to blend the different color "edges" together.
Stamp the Large Solid Iris over the painted mat using black acrylic
paint. Make sure to turn the iris image in different directions. |
|
2. |
Cover the mat opening with purple marbled paper. |
|
The Surface- |
|
1. |
Stamp 7-8 Nouveau Wedges in gold pigment ink on black cardstock
and emboss with clear powder. Cut wedges out and set aside. |
|
2 . |
Apply alcohol re-inkers and Metallic markers to white glossy
paper using a "Polished Stone" styled technique. Cut
glossy paper into a 7" circle to later use as a backing
for your Nautilus shell image. |
|
3. |
Stamp Large Nautilus Shell in black dye ink on to white cardstock.
"Scribble" Lyra Metallic Pencils on the 90% of the
shell image. Rub over entire shell with black dye ink. Cut out
Nautilus and add a small tassel made with Zia Custom Fibers to
the back of shell. Glue shell with fibers to glossy paper circle. |
|
4. |
Glue Nouveau Wedges on top of painted mat surface, then glue
down the Nautilus over the mat opening. |
