Technique:
- On black cardstock stamp with black
pigment ink and emboss with Zia Black Sparkle, three Large Phoenix
Mask images and three more "partial" images wherever
you can fit them!
|
- With a Dove Blender, apply Powdered
Pearls to stamped images. Move the colors around so each mask
image has the same colors, but in different places! Cut the images
out and set aside.
|
- Stamp the Small Phoenix Mask on white
cardstock in black pigment ink and emboss with Zia Black Sparkle.
Color image areas with Dove Blender and Powdered Pearls. Cut
out the image and set aside to place on the mat "opening"
in step #7.
|
- To get your compositional "map",
arrange the "partial" images against any of your mat
board edges, matching the straight edges together. Arrange the
"whole" images in appropriate places on top of the
mat board. This layout will help you determine where to place
four to five Day Fern images.
|
- Back the mat opening with copper foiled
paper. Arrange Small Phoenix Mask cut out image and metal leaf
on top of copper paper and glue down.
|
- Now arrange your six partial and whole
Phoenix Mask images on top of the mat board, but before you glue
down the cutout images, slide a fern and/or skeleton leaf into
strategic places. Now glue all ferns, leaves and cutout images
to the mat board surface with a glue gun.
|
- Scribble matching colored pencils on
mat in "empty" areas.
