Kimono Shape |

1. |
Cut matboard in half. Draw with a pencil on the backside of one
of the halves the "negative" shape of what needs to
be cut out from the sleeve. Cut the shape out then flip it over
and trace it on to the other half of matboard. Cut that traced
shape out and set both "cut-outs" aside to be used
later for part of the hanger. |

Layer these two techniques* until you achieve the "depth"
you want on the kimono surface.
*Stencil stripes and dots in metallic pigment ink randomly on
matboard surface.
*Stamp in clear pigment ink and emboss with combinations of metallic
embossing powders using the Large Zebra Leaves. |

3. |
Using a distressed pigment ink pad, randomly squish ink pad all
over 6" circle of black cardstock. Dust with Lavender Blue
Powdered Pearl. Dry with heat gun. Stamp Iris in clear ink and
emboss in black. Color Iris image using Dove blender and Copper
and Pearl Dust Powdered Pearls. Accent with Lyra Metallic Pencils.
Back with 7" circle of cardstock. Punch hole in bottom of
larger circle edge with circular paper punch and half- hitch
Zia Custom Fibers to the hole. |

Put it together! |

4. |
Stamp the Small Corkscrew Willow in clear ink and emboss in gold.all
around the lower ½ of the area the Iris centerpiece will
be placed. |

5. |
Glue Iris Center using a glue gun to adhere your 2 Kimono halves
together. |
|
6. |
Glue cut-out shapes to the back and top of the Kimono to reinforce
the area which the Kimono hangs from. Punch 4-6 holes near top
edge of the Kimono and weave cord through holes to create hanger.
Add bamboo stick in-between cord. |
